Another year is at an end and this year was full of surprises. We've successfully published twelve books this year, along with two Kindle Vela series' and a few short stories, plus we still have one more book coming out next week. As we typically do in the final Dragon's Breath of the year, I'll look ahead to everything coming in 2022. Let's go!
First things first, we have several sequels to some of our best series' scheduled for next year. The third installment of JL Esquire's Enchanter's Quest saga, "Enchanter's Quest: The Patron of Evil" is set for next summer. This book will pick up right where the previous book left off, which if you've read "Curse of the Necromancer" then you're aware of the final act's big cliffhanger. JL Esquire assured me that readers and fans of the series will be very satisfied with how the story continues.
"Patron of Evil" has been so much fun to write and work on because it's all payoff. The last book was a bit more difficult and slow to compile because I had to lay the groundwork without the reader noticing what I was doing. In this book, I get to play around with things and characters in ways that I've never done before, it's very exciting. Jes, for example, goes through massive development, all of which is due to the fallout of [Curse of the] Necromancer. I think readers of the Enchanter's Quest books will have just as much fun reading this one as I have had writing it.
Also in the works is the long-awaited sequel to Anthony J Santora's Nathan Turner chronicles. "Nathan Turner and the Rage Within" was originally anticipated for 2021 but was pushed back for the series' prequel book, "The Guided." Book two of this political thriller series should be ready in the spring of next year. I personally can't wait.
LaTrobe Barnitz's Soul Crystals series is also getting another sequel in 2022, although the upcoming installment doesn't have a title or a seasonal window just yet. I'd personally suspect sometime in the autumn months but even I couldn't say for sure.
Then, of course, we have a few projects that are from new and upcoming authors. The two that we've announced are, "The Serpent Rider," by Eric Staggs and "Children of the Black" by WJ Long III. "The Serpent Rider" will be hitting the shelves in early 2022, possibly January or early February. "Children of the Black," shall be coming out in the spring, I'd guess in late March.
As you can see, we've got an amazing year ahead of us and that's just the stuff we're ready to tell the world about. There's a lot more we're hiding until just the right time so hang onto your hats, folks! And don't forget to get your hands on "Wolves of War: Crown and Conflagration" when it releases next week (12/10/2021).
