Dragon's Breath -September 2021
Hey Dragons!
Autumn is upon us and so is the end of 2021. We;ve had a lot of amazing stories published this year, but we're not done just yet. In this edition of the PD Dragon's Breath, we'll be doing a quick rundown of all the books still yet to come in 2021.
Here in September, "Law Unto Herself: The Stolen" will be hitting shelves on the 17th, just two weeks from now. Author Jennifer L Barnes has crafted a thrilling fantastical detective series intended for more mature audiences. Faeries, vampires, hags, and werewolves all run amuck in this gory, adventurous, and revenge-seeking saga, which fans of the genre are sure to get hooked on.
Here's a quick synopsis:
> Her name is Forest, but she is better known as Law Unto Herself, a vampire vigilante who is too moral for her own good and too stubborn to know when to quit. Armed with a .44 Auto Mag, a bitching pony car, martial arts skills that would make an MMA prize fighter blush, and a love for heavy metal, Forest fights against the forces of evil.
When a member of the Vampire Council contacts Forest to investigate a series of disappearances in their ranks, she thinks it’s just another job that they cannot afford to get their hands dirty with. After a Faerie maiden goes missing after meeting up with some unsavory company gains the attention of Lady Wynn Umbra, Forest’s oldest friend, to investigate, she turns to the vampire for aid. The two quickly realize that the cases of the missing vampires and Faerie are related when they discover a supernatural slavery ring.
When the slavers set their eyes on Wynn’s son and Forest’s godson, both Faerie and vampire find themselves outnumbered and outmaneuvered. However, these slavers will find out that Law Unto Herself didn’t get her title for demurely backing down and submitting to someone else’s will.
I'm happy to be able to share with you the cover art today. I don't know about you guys, but I think this one really captures the essence of not only the genre but the story at it's core. If you don't get what a mean, just wait until you read the story, then you'll see.
October has two books scheduled for release. The first comes on October 8th, being "Foxfire: Kindling Flames" by Jeremiah T Foxx. This light-hearted adventure is truly an anime epic come to life on the page. Foxx's breakout novel will be sure to turn heads as this harrowing adventure hits shelves. The next book comes on October 29th, from company favorite Adam TS Conlon. "The Ghost Company: A Wolves of War Story" is the perfect read for your Halloween celebrations, taking place in between the third and fourth books in Conlon's "Wolves of War" series.
Don't think that's the last we'll see of Adam TS Conlon this year. He has one more story to tell in 2021. "Wolves of War: Crown and Conflagration," which is the final book in the series, is scheduled for publication on December 3rd.
So many amazing books to look forward to, tell in the comments below what you're looking forward to the most.
